Career Awareness Leadership Academies
Employers have job openings they cannot fill. Students graduate without an awareness of the career opportunities and job skills needed for lucrative, future employment.
Business and industry undergo continuous improvements and changes throughout the year. New concepts and technologies are created and implemented, while others fade and are discarded.
Engaging and partnering schools with business(es) can provide students with an awareness of career opportunities, industry certification(s), bridge to Post-Secondary options, mentorships, apprenticeships, internships, and employment
We need to address how we prepare our students to be ready to enter the evolving workplace when they graduate from high school. To address the jobs/skills mismatch educators must interface with business. The vehicle to achieve this is the Career Awareness Leadership Forum. How to information, evaluations, and Forum materials are below.

Unfortunately, the Council was one of the casualties of the Covid virus and had to close its doors in 2021. For more information on Council programs please contact Dr. Elaine Liftin, (liftinela@aol.com and/or 305-775-5161).
